My name is maveriQ B Jackson. I sign everything mav QBJ. The lowercase m and the capital Q are on purpose: it doesn't matter where you start. It matters where you finish, and the journey along the way.
How this started
This work didn't start with a campaign. It started while I was working inside government and kept seeing the same thing: the people a bill was meant to help were usually the last people anyone in the room thought about. So I started writing actual bills, with sections, funding and legal defenses, ready for anyone willing to carry them.
In 2026 I ran for House District 23. I didn't make the ballot. I'm telling you here so you don't have to find it somewhere else. The work never depended on me winning, and it didn't stop when I lost. The Q Collective is its permanent home. On the legislative side we work as the Doctrine Policy Group. Same people, same mission.
What we actually do
- We grade every Colorado lawmaker on one public formula. How the Q Score works.
- We write ready-to-file legislation like CESA and FWMRA.
- We show up in the process. We file public comments, like our October filing on Colorado's new AI law, on behalf of the people of Colorado. We have no client and no money riding on the outcome.
How big we are
Not very. It's me, a small group of volunteers who believe in this, and a scoring engine that runs every Sunday. I'd rather you know that up front than imagine a building full of analysts.
The rules we hold ourselves to
- We don't endorse candidates. Not one, in any race, ever. The day we do, every score turns into an argument instead of a measurement.
- The rubric doesn't bend. 80 points makes an Accountability Champion, for everyone.
- Corrections go out in public. Every score change is in the audit log with the reason attached.
- Officials can respond. They can't edit their score.
- Anyone can check us. The formula, the weights, the data and the change history are all public.
How I try to work
Speak softly, but carry a big stick. Treat everyone with respect, even people who haven't earned it. And speak with passion. That's how I try to run this, and it's why we invite lawmakers in instead of calling them out.
